About Us
In 1956 a gutsy young man named Walter Besser decided at the age of 25 to open his own business. Based out of Houston, Walter’s business started with plumbing residential new construction homes in the Southeast Houston, Pasadena and Pearland areas as these communities began to expand. Several decades and 3 generations later, Besser & Son Plumbing is owned by Walter’s son Mike Besser, master plumber and Texas A&M graduate with 50 years experience. Project Management is handled by Mike’s son, Walter’s grandson, Tommy Besser, master plumber with 25 years experience.
Mike Besser, Owner
Mike grew up in Houston graduating from Milby High School then going on to complete his Bachelors of Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University. He came to work for his father, Walter in 1974 and had the pleasure of working with him until 2012. In this time he has also raised 4 grown children (2 of which are Aggies) and expanded the business into Houston based on the principles established by Walter as well as personal relationships formed with clients. Outside of work, Mike enjoys duck hunting, fishing, weekends at the bayou and quality time with his wife Bridget.
Tommy Besser, Project Manager

Having had the chance to work with both Walter and Mike for many years, Tommy has vast experience working on complex plumbing systems old and new. Outside of work, Tommy enjoys quality time with his wife Emily and their 3 children as well as duck hunting and Houston sports.
